A single channel, CCTV video over IP transceiver that sends video, audio, alarms and other signals over your local network or the internet (in both directions). The high quality, high resolution pictures can be transmitted at rates of up to 25fps, real time, depending on your bandwidth. The Jigsaw IP codec is suitable for many CCTV applications, such as large corporate buildings, councils, shopping centres, Universities and projects that are spread across large distances. See below for examples of performance and applications. |
Internet Connection
High quality, clear, CCTV images every 2 seconds across the internet (assuming 256K ADSL). The image quality is such that you will be able to pick out fine detail - faces and number plates. More bandwidth or a lower image quality allows you to go faster giving you real time updates over the internet.
Alarms
These can be from a house alarm or a door opening etc.
RS232
In both directions, usually from keyboards.
RS485
Often used to control a movable camera by twisted pair.
Audio
You can hear, as well as see, what is happening over the internet. A talk back function is now available. Tecton microphones are powered by the Jigsaw
Camera Control
Camera control down the coax. Signals are transmitted across the network or internet.
